The Knesset Land of Israel Caucus, representing approximately 80 members of Israel's parliament, has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal for the voluntary relocation of Gaza residents. During a recent conference titled "The New Middle East: The Plan for Voluntary Migration from Gaza," Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described the plan as the only realistic path to peace and security, emphasizing a shift from previous paradigms.
Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana criticized the longstanding two-state solution approach, citing the 2005 disengagement from Gaza, which led to increased terrorism and rocket attacks, culminating in the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre. Likud MK Yuli Edelstein echoed this sentiment, asserting that the Oslo Accords failed to bring the anticipated peace, thereby necessitating alternative solutions like the proposed relocation plan.
The ongoing conflict over the land of Israel aligns with Scripture indicating that the land was divinely promised to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 15:18-21).
