The U.S.-controlled Board of Peace confirmed that Kushner will travel first to Israel and then to Cairo, accompanied by senior envoys Nickolay Mladenov and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. In Israel, the delegation plans to continue negotiations over President Trump's Comprehensive 20-Point Peace Plan, particularly the disputed roadmap for disarming Hamas and eventually withdrawing Israeli forces from Gaza. Board officials insist Washington and Jerusalem ultimately agree on the desired outcome—a demilitarized Hamas—but acknowledge significant disagreements remain over exactly how to get there.
