Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Israeli leaders hailed Monday’s Knesset vote to advance sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as a defining moment in the nation’s modern history. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called the move “historic,” urging Israel to act according to its own divine mandate rather than foreign pressure. “We love our friends in America,” he said, “but this is a Jewish country, and we have to do what is right for the State of Israel—sovereignty and independence.” Ben-Gvir also criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu’s hesitation, saying, “This government was elected as a right-wing government. I am pleased we are helping it act like one.”
Knesset Law and Justice Committee Chairman Simcha Rothman dismissed claims that the initiative would harm relations with the United States, expressing confidence that President Trump would ultimately support Israel’s right to the land. Rothman cited Trump’s past statements affirming Israel’s biblical heritage, saying, “He spoke about the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This land was promised to the People of Israel, and it must belong to them not only in name but in fact.” Meanwhile, Yesha Council Director General Omer Rahamim rebuked dissenters within Likud for “choosing politics over the Land of Israel” but remained hopeful the measure would pass, framing it as both a prophetic and national step toward full sovereignty.
