Little Palestine?!?! - Paterson, NJ

The city of Paterson, New Jersey, has undergone a dramatic transformation, with local officials prioritizing Islamic identity over traditional American values. Once a thriving industrial city, Paterson has become a political and cultural hub for Islamic governance, with Muslim elected leaders pushing policies that favor Islamic law and Palestinian nationalism. In 2022, Main Street was officially renamed "Palestine Way," a clear declaration of the city's shift toward becoming an Islamic enclave.


Paterson officials have further cemented the city’s Islamic identity by integrating public school policies favoring Islamic traditions, including school closures for Islamic holidays, the call to prayer being broadcast publicly, and official government-sponsored Islamic events. The recent Hilal Lighting Ceremony, marking Ramadan, served as a pro-Palestinian political rally rather than a simple religious celebration. These efforts, backed by groups with ties to radical Islamic movements, indicate a deliberate push toward reshaping Paterson into what Mayor Andre Sayegh calls "the capital of Palestine in the United States."
