In a recent interview on Fox News' "Special Report," Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), shared his apprehensions about the declining birth rates globally and their potential impact on civilization. Musk highlighted that the birth rate is alarmingly low in almost every country, emphasizing that if this trend continues, it could lead to the disappearance of civilization. He pointed out that the United States recorded its lowest birth rate last year, with no evident measures reversing this decline. Musk stated, "Humanity is dying, and people—it's just not something we've evolved to react to."
Beyond demographic concerns, Musk also expressed unease about America's strength, describing the nation as the "central column that holds up all of Western civilization." He warned that if this pillar fails, it could have catastrophic consequences for the broader Western world.
The decline in birthrates mirrors a culture turning inward, prioritizing self over God’s design for family and fruitfulness. When life is no longer seen as sacred, and when nations forget that their strength comes from God (Deuteronomy 8:18), they teeter on the edge of judgment.
