Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Iran had planned “another Holocaust” but was stopped by a joint American-Israeli air campaign. Speaking during Israel’s Memorial Day ceremony at Mount Herzl, Netanyahu said Iran’s leadership intended to destroy Israel through nuclear weapons and thousands of ballistic missiles. He described the recent war as a decisive move that removed what he called an immediate existential threat.
Netanyahu warned that sites such as Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan could have become symbols of mass destruction had Israel and the United States not acted first. He framed the conflict as part of a long historical pattern of enemies rising against the Jewish people in every generation. During the ceremony, he also honored fallen soldiers and reflected on the loss of his brother, Yoni Netanyahu, who was killed in the 1976 Entebbe raid.
These remarks underscore how central Israel remains in the tensions shaping today’s world order. Repeated threats against the nation, combined with wars spanning multiple fronts and growing hostility from surrounding powers, mirror an ancient pattern that continues into modern times. As Jerusalem remains at the center of global conflict and survival struggles intensify, the stage is being set for even greater upheaval involving nations and alliances.
