Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video meeting with Christian soldiers serving in the Israel Defense Forces amid growing controversy surrounding military operations in Christian villages in southern Lebanon. In the video, Netanyahu praised the men and women for serving in key positions and highlighted their contributions to Israel’s military efforts. The appearance comes at a time when scrutiny has increased over recent incidents involving Christian communities near the border region.
Netanyahu said outside portrayals of Israel are false and insisted the nation defends the rights of Christians across the Middle East. He also emphasized that Christian citizens serve openly in the military and stated that Israel is the one nation in the region where the Christian population is growing and thriving. The message was clearly aimed at countering criticism and reinforcing Israel’s image as a place of religious freedom amid ongoing regional tensions.
