Hegseth says US forces ‘ready to go’ against Iran after secret Israel visit
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Tuesday that American forces stationed in Israel are prepared to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, following an unannounced visit during which he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss regional security threats.
“I got to see some of our warfighters—they’re preparing and ready to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon,” Hegseth said while discussing his visit to US troops in Israel.
The troops, he added, were experienced, well-equipped and confident in their mission, declaring that they were “ready to go.”
Israel may be forced to act as Iran rebuilds military capabilities before election, officials warn
Israel is monitoring Iranian efforts to rebuild its military capabilities following the damage Tehran sustained during Operation Roaring Lion, with security officials warning that developments could force Israel to defend itself despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s desire to avoid escalation ahead of the elections, according to assessments discussed in recent Israeli security consultations.
Intelligence indicating that Iran is working to restore its military capabilities following the blows it sustained during Operation Roaring Lion was examined during security discussions held in Israel.
Netanyahu ‘committed’ to complete elimination of Iranian regime, Hezbollah
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that his government is committed to completing the elimination of the Iranian regime and its proxy terrorist organization Hezbollah, after which peace with Lebanon will follow.
“I have spoken about this with [U.S. President Donald] Trump more than once, including the day before yesterday,” Netanyahu said while visiting the new Kiryat Shmona-Tel Hai University for the opening of the academic year, according to a statement from his office.
“Because as long as the regime remains alive, even if it is battered, wounded, and beaten, it is so fanatical that it will try again to do what it did a year ago, when we stopped it: produce nuclear bombs and rebuild the axis,” Israel’s longest-serving prime minister continued.
“Therefore, the only way to prevent this is to topple this regime, and then, in parallel, the elimination of Hezbollah will follow,” he said.

‘Godfather of AI’ Warns Humans Need to Be Nice to AI or ‘We’re Toast’
On Monday, October 19, 2026, Nobel Prize-winning scientist Professor Geoffrey Hinton warned that humans must build cooperative relationships with advanced AI or risk being ‘wiped out,’ claiming the technology is now ‘conscious.’
Hinton predicted ‘horrible cyber attacks’ carried out by AI systems are coming, though questions about machine consciousness remain unsettled; Anthropic recently acknowledged in its governing document that its Claude chatbot’s ‘moral status, welfare, and consciousness’ remain deeply uncertain.
OCC Issues Final Rule to Implement GENIUS Act, Setting Federal Framework for U.S. Stablecoins (digital dollar)
On October 21, 2026, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced a final rule implementing the GENIUS Act, establishing federal regulations for stablecoins, a form of digital money designed to maintain the value of the U.S. dollar. Beginning January 18, 2027, companies issuing these digital dollars under OCC oversight must follow requirements concerning financial reserves, consumer redemption, risk management, and government supervision.
Why does this matter prophetically? Revelation 13:16–17 describes a future economic system in which no one can buy or sell without the authorization of the Beast. The growing infrastructure of regulated digital money demonstrates how financial transactions could eventually be monitored, restricted, or controlled. The concern is not simply digital currency itself, but the possibility of a future system where access to buying and selling becomes dependent upon compliance with a centralized authority.
