Death toll rises to 9 in church attack; officials blame ‘extremist’ Islamist ideology
A group of gunmen stormed a Christian church in Jordan during a funeral Friday, killing nine people and injuring more than two dozen, according to authorities.
The shooting took place at a Greek Orthodox church in Karak, about 55 miles south of the capital, Amman.
Jordanian Health Minister Ibrahim al-Budour said Saturday that one critically injured patient remained hospitalized at Prince Ali Military Hospital in unstable condition.
Government spokesperson Mohammad Momani said Saturday the attackers subscribed to “extremist takfiri ideology,” which brands people who reject a strict interpretation of Islam as apostates or nonbelievers. Terrorist groups such as ISIS have invoked takfiri beliefs to justify killing Muslims, Christians and Jews.
US ready to launch Iran strikes within 96 hours, after Trump got Israel to nix attack last week
The United States has built up sufficient military forces in the Middle East to launch a major new offensive against Iran within four days of receiving authorization from President Donald Trump, according to American officials, after the US reportedly pressed Israel to delay plans last week to attack Iran.
Two US officials told CNN that American forces could begin operations “within 96 hours” of a presidential order, with military planners preparing a campaign considerably broader than the limited strikes conducted since Trump suspended major combat operations earlier this year.
The Pentagon and US Central Command have developed an extensive list of potential targets, including Iranian nuclear facilities, military installations and energy infrastructure.
Netanyahu posts AI image of nuke hitting Tel Aviv, warns of ‘2nd Holocaust’ if he’s not elected
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday posted an AI-generated image depicting a nuclear explosion in Tel Aviv, warning the public just two days before the election that voting for anyone other than him could expose Israelis to the danger of a “second Holocaust.”
Netanyahu was sharing the words of Yuval Bloomberg, a right-wing activist with roots in the tech sector who once wrote a book against the Oslo Accords. The post by Bloomberg, written last week, included the AI image of the large mushroom cloud rising above Tel Aviv as the city burned from a nuclear blast.
Israel faces a “real and tangible existential threat,” the post shared by Netanyahu said.

Christian Mother Sentenced to 14 Years in Nigeria as Persecution Intensifies Despite Growing Church
A Christian mother in northeastern Nigeria has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after sharing her faith with a Muslim woman who voluntarily converted to Christianity, raising fresh concerns over religious freedom in a nation where thousands of Christians have been killed in recent years.
Dawa’s husband, Evangelist Amos Suleman, reportedly spent months in detention before being released on bail. He has since gone into hiding following alleged death threats from Islamic extremists.
Delivery robots accused of scanning customers’ faces and sharing biometric data
The battle over Chicago’s food delivery robots has reached the courts, with two customers accusing the companies behind them of collecting their biometric data without consent.
The men filed separate class-action lawsuits in Cook County court Oct. 9 against Coco Robotics and Serve Robotics, alleging the companies violated a state privacy law. They claim the companies’ machines scanned their faces and hands without their knowledge or consent.
The lawsuits allege the robots’ cameras and LiDAR — a technology that sends out laser pulses to measure distances and map the surrounding environment — captured measurements of customers’ faces and hands as they approached the machines to retrieve their orders.
Half A Million Daily Shoppers Face Biometric Scanning On London’s Oxford Street
There’s now a date for when London’s Oxford Street will start being scanned by permanent live facial recognition (LFR) cameras: December, when the annual Christmas shopping rush brings the most people into the street.
The presence of the cameras will be hard to miss, as they will be scanning every single person who walks down the street, and there are about half a million of those every day – none of whom will be given a choice to “opt out” of the biometric check that will compare their face against a police watchlist.
LFR is “an important tool which is helping us keep London safe,” is how the Met has justified its use of the tech. The plan is not new – it was first announced in the summer – but this is the first time a time frame has been given for when the deployment is to happen.

WHO warns ‘more complex’ Ebola outbreak now present in 3 African countries
The World Health Organization (WHO) says the Ebola outbreak that emerged in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is growing more “complex”, with cases now present in countries in East and West Africa.
This comes as health authorities investigate where Nigeria’s first case, which was confirmed this week, originated, raising questions about whether the patient crossed paths with Kenya’s first patient at a Ugandan airport.
“We are facing a more complex outbreak landscape,” Mohamed Janabi, regional director for WHO in Africa, told an online media briefing on Thursday.
An Exciting New Chapter Is Coming
When I launched Prophecy Recon, I made a decision early on: I would not allow Google Ads to clutter this website with clickbait, distracting advertisements, or inappropriate images. While many websites rely on these ads to generate a steady stream of revenue, I wanted Prophecy Recon to remain a place where you could find information without all the distractions.
Unfortunately, maintaining a website in today's digital world presents challenges. Hackers are increasingly deploying automated bots to infiltrate websites, making security more important than ever. That's why I've decided it's time to make some changes.
My goal is to launch a completely refreshed Prophecy Recon on February 1, 2027!
My current web hosting agreement expires January 31, 2027, and I plan to use this opportunity to move Prophecy Recon to a more secure platform, improve the overall experience, and introduce some exciting new features.
One feature I'm particularly excited about is reorganizing our news feeds into distinct Prophetic Hot Zones: Apostasy, Moral Decay, Global Wars, Disasters, Persecution, Beast System, Deception, and Israel. This will make it easier than ever to follow the developments that matter most to you.
Here's where I could use your help.
Prophecy Recon is a one-man operation, and with my growing responsibilities at Prophecy Watchers, my time has become increasingly limited. Nevertheless, I'm committed to keeping this website going and making it even better.
If you've found the articles, news feeds, and resources on Prophecy Recon helpful, would you prayerfully consider coming alongside me with a financial gift to help make this transition possible?
GIVE\
Every contribution, regardless of size, would be greatly appreciated and would help cover the costs of moving, securing, and improving the website.
And let me make one promise: Prophecy Recon will remain completely FREE to use and FREE of advertisements. No paywalls. No Google Ads. Just the information you've come to expect. I'm also considering a rebranding that will help us maximize our impact in an effort to reach lost souls.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers. I'm excited about what's ahead!
Below is the concept design I am working on behind the scenes.
