Israel marks 3 years since October 7 attack that sparked war in Gaza

Israel marked the third anniversary of Hamas’ October 7 attack on Wednesday with silent tributes, new strikes on Gaza and intense political debate, weeks before elections in which the country’s deadliest day will be front and centre.

At the site of the Nova music festival, where Hamas militants in trucks and paragliders opened fire around dawn on October 7, 2023, family members bowed their heads in silence – although at least one instead put on techno music in tribute to the dead.

Hamas: October 7 was an ‘extraordinary military achievement’

In a statement marking three years since the October 7 massacre, Hamas military wing spokesman Abu Obeida says that “October 7 was an extraordinary military achievement, with God’s help”

“Enemies and friends alike acknowledged the scale of the planning, execution and deception,” he says.

Abu Obeida adds that three years have passed since “the arms of the fighters shattered the occupation’s security doctrine. There is no deterrence left. Palestine will not forget those who stood by its side, especially those who shed their blood for it.”

Jews targeted in 53% of NYC hate crimes in 2026, NYPD data shows

Jewish New Yorkers accounted for 245 of the 463 confirmed hate crimes recorded in New York City during the first nine months of 2026, according to NYPD statistics released Tuesday. The figure represents 53% of all confirmed hate crimes and is 1.2% higher than the 242 anti-Jewish incidents recorded during the same period in 2025.

The NYPD estimates that Jews comprise roughly 10% of New York City’s population, meaning they have been targeted in hate crimes at a rate approximately 10 times higher than their share of the city’s population.

Socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson Goes Apocalyptic, Hosting Conspiracy-Filled Event that Links Jews, Christians, and Tech Billionaires to ‘Armageddon’

Evidently someone is taking some really good drugs with their coffee in Seattle. Socialist Mayor Katie Wilson hosted a book talk on Sept. 24 featuring Canadian activist authors and conspiracy-theorist nuts Naomi Klein and Asta Taylor, who discussed their unhinged apocalyptic book, “End Times Fascism: And the Fight for the Living World.” This goes way beyond Trump Derangement Syndrome and slides right into deflection, where leftists blame Christians and Jews for the End Times instead of looking at what they push daily.

Ex-Brazilian minister urges US to release files on aliens with glowing red eyes: ‘What we saw wasn’t human’

A former Brazilian minister is calling on the US to declassify its records on one of his country’s most notorious UFO incidents — when two red-eyed aliens purportedly crash-landed and were confiscated by Uncle Sam.

Aldo Rebelo, ex-minister of science, technology and innovation and former president of the Chamber of Deputies, told The Post there is more to be learned from the 1996 Varginha UFO crash — known as Brazil’s Roswell.

“It is of public and national interest that these episodes be revealed and known,” said Rebelo.

Russia kills 11 in one of its biggest strikes on Ukraine, Zelenskiy says

Russia fired 70 missiles and also drones in one of its biggest strikes at Ukraine, targeting the Ukrainian energy sector and killing at least 11 people across the country, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said.

“One of the key targets was our energy infrastructure. The Russians wanted to strike painfully and demonstratively,” Zelenskiy said on the Telegram app. “Russian ballistic missiles remain the greatest challenge. And air defence packages for us right now are a vital necessity.”

Apple Cash to Require Identity Verification Before Balance Reloads

Apple Cash users will need to have their identity verified before adding money to their balance starting November 9. Green Dot Bank, which provides the service, is introducing the requirement through notices sent to customers.

Verification previously applied when users added, sent or received more than $500 in total. The new rule extends the identity requirement to balance reloads regardless of that threshold. Apple Cash is the payment account within Apple’s Wallet ecosystem, separate from the Apple Card credit card.

Users whose identity cannot be verified will be unable to use all Apple Cash features, including sending or receiving money and adding funds. Existing money remains available for purchases through Apple Pay in stores, apps and on the web, or for transfer to a bank account.
