PA TV Preacher: Strike Jews, Christians

Sep 2, 2025

In a recent sermon broadcast on official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV from a mosque in Ramallah, a preacher called on Allah to “strike the thieving Jews and the aggressive Crusader Christians,” describing them as corrupt and arrogant oppressors. The cleric prayed for divine punishment, asking for a “black day” to fall upon them. This rhetoric reflects a broader pattern within PA messaging, where Christian and Jewish communities are vilified through inflammatory religious language. Palestinian Media Watch notes that the PA has long misappropriated the image of Jesus, portraying Him not as the Son of God but as a Palestinian “martyr” and the first “self-sacrificing fighter,” equating Him with modern terrorists and falsely assigning Him Islamic attributes.

The sermon’s reference to Christians as “Crusaders” suggests that the PA continues to frame its conflict in terms of an ongoing religious war, harkening back to the battles of the Middle Ages. This messaging extends beyond Christians, as other PA officials have issued similar attacks against Jews. In one broadcast, PA Shari’ah Judge Abdallah Harb prayed for Allah to “protect the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the impurity, filth, and defilement of the Jews.” Such remarks not only foster deep-seated hostility toward Jews and Christians but also reveal the PA’s consistent use of religious incitement to fuel division and conflict in the region.
