Passover Threat Alert Issued by Israel

Mar 25, 2026

Israel’s National Security Council has issued a global warning ahead of Passover, alerting citizens to an increased threat of Iran-linked attacks targeting Jews and Israeli travelers abroad. The advisory follows a series of recent incidents, including attempted bombings at synagogues in Europe and a foiled plot in the United States. Officials warn that Iran, along with its proxies and sympathizers, may intensify efforts during major Jewish holidays, when large gatherings present vulnerable targets.

The warning urges heightened vigilance, particularly in regions near Iran and in countries with known security risks. Israeli authorities are advising travelers to avoid large public celebrations, refrain from sharing real-time locations on social media, and exercise caution in areas associated with Jewish life, such as synagogues and community centers. With global travel continuing despite rising tensions, the advisory reflects a growing concern that conflict in the Middle East is spilling over into targeted threats against Jewish communities worldwide.
