Peter Thiel Lectures on Antichrist

Mar 16, 2026

Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel has drawn international attention after launching a lecture series in Rome focused on the Antichrist. The invitation-only event, held near the Vatican, has stirred controversy after several Catholic universities reportedly distanced themselves from the program despite earlier associations. Thiel, best known as a co-founder of PayPa and Palantir Technologies, as well as an early investor in other major technology companies, has developed a growing interest in theological themes related to the end of the age, particularly the Antichrist and Armageddon.

According to invitations circulating around the event, the lecture series explores the Antichrist through the lenses of theology, history, politics, and modern technological developments. Thiel has previously expressed concern about the existential risks facing humanity and has suggested that society must confront these dangers thoughtfully. His discussions reportedly draw from a wide range of thinkers and philosophical traditions while connecting ancient religious ideas to modern technological and geopolitical realities.
