Fresh attention is turning once again to the long-debated search for Noah’s Ark after researchers announced new radar scans from a site in eastern Turkey that they believe may preserve the remains of the biblical vessel. The boat-shaped formation, located about 18 miles south of Mount Ararat, was first noted in 1959 and has since drawn worldwide curiosity. Its dimensions reportedly match the biblical description of the Ark in Genesis—300 cubits long, or roughly 515 feet—fueling continued speculation that the site could be tied to the Flood account.
Researchers with Noah’s Ark Scans say the latest underground imaging detected parallel cavities beneath the formation that resemble corridor-like passages inside a ship. They also reported a central chamber and thermal imaging signatures suggesting a hull-shaped structure still buried in the soil. Plans are now underway to develop a robotic remote-controlled device that could enter openings and explore the underground spaces more directly. If confirmed, such findings would dramatically intensify the debate over one of history’s greatest mysteries.
Additional soil testing reportedly found three times more organic matter and significantly higher potassium levels inside the formation than in surrounding ground, which the team says may be consistent with decomposed wood. Skeptics continue to argue the structure is a natural geological formation, and no definitive proof has yet been established. In an age when many dismiss the Bible as myth, discoveries that point people back to Genesis carry weight. The days of Noah were once a warning of coming judgment, and Christ Himself said those days would again have meaning in the time of the end.
