Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

A shocking new report from the U.K. Children’s Commissioner reveals that children as young as six are being exposed to violent and degrading pornography—often through social media platforms designed for entertainment and communication. The study, titled “‘Sex is kind of broken now’: Children and Pornography,” describes an online world “completely unfit for children,” where 70 percent of respondents said they had seen pornography and 27 percent admitted first exposure before age 11. Even more disturbing, most children weren’t seeking it—59 percent said they encountered porn accidentally on mainstream apps, not on adult sites. Commissioner Dame Rachel De Souza called the findings “a snapshot of rock bottom,” warning that society has allowed “weapons-grade poison” to infiltrate the digital lives of its youngest generation.
The report paints a devastating picture of moral decay and desensitization, confirming what Scripture has long warned—that in the last days, people would be “lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” (2 Timothy 3:4). The normalization of pornographic content among children is eroding innocence, warping perceptions of intimacy, and fueling a generation conditioned by violence and exploitation. When 44 percent of surveyed teens agree that “girls may say no at first but can be persuaded,” it signals the collapse of moral boundaries once guarded by family and faith. The digital world has become the new Babylon—glittering with pleasure but filled with corruption. Unless society repents and reclaims God’s standard for purity, the next generation will inherit not freedom, but bondage disguised as liberation.
