Report: Columbia's Classrooms Turn Hostile

Dec 11, 2025

Columbia University’s newly released anti-Semitism report exposes a deeply disturbing pattern of hostility, classroom harassment, and ideological indoctrination targeted at Jewish and Israeli students—much of it coming from the very instructors entrusted with their education. The report documents professors singling out Jewish students as “murderers,” “occupiers,” and agents of “genocide,” often in courses that had nothing to do with Israel or the Middle East. In one astronomy class, the syllabus opened with political commentary on Gaza. In an Arabic course, vocabulary lessons were framed around anti-Israel narratives. Students were publicly humiliated, their private emails read aloud without consent, and even told that it was a “shame their people survived” the Holocaust. This weaponization of the classroom reflects a growing campus culture where anti-Jewish hostility is not an aberration but an embedded worldview—one that flourishes despite Columbia’s $221 million federal anti-discrimination settlement.

The report’s findings echo Jesus’ warning that in the last days “you will be hated by all nations because of My name” (Matthew 24:9). Antisemitism—spiritual at its core—continues to manifest through academia, activism, and political movements that seek to delegitimize Israel and demonize the Jewish people. Columbia’s faculty handbook requires teachers to “stick to their subject,” yet many chose instead to “teach for Palestine,” leveraging unrelated courses to promote anti-Israel ideology while ostracizing Jewish students. This is not merely bias; it is indoctrination. As prophetic tides rise, the ancient hatred described in Ezekiel 35 and Psalm 83 becomes visible again, reminding us that the war against Israel is ultimately a war against the God of Israel. Columbia’s report is another signpost pointing to the spiritual battlefield unfolding on our campuses and in our culture.
