Russia, China Fuel Iran Power

Apr 20, 2026

Russia and China are reportedly increasing strategic support for Iran through intelligence sharing, satellite surveillance, military technology, and diplomatic coordination. Analysts say Russian satellites have conducted extensive imagery surveys across the Middle East, helping Tehran monitor U.S. forces and Israeli infrastructure. Reports also indicate that China may be preparing shipments of portable air defense systems, while continuing to supply dual-use materials and components tied to missile production. These developments come as tensions remain high despite a fragile regional ceasefire.

Experts describe the Russia-Iran partnership as a structured wartime alliance shaped by mutual need. Moscow is said to be providing Iran with advanced intelligence data, drone warfare expertise, electronic warfare lessons, and assistance integrating layered air defense systems. At the same time, Beijing is accused of offering satellite access, engineering support, and critical materials used in rocket fuel and weapons manufacturing. Together, the three nations are building alternative financial networks, expanding BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation ties, and coordinating efforts to reduce Western influence across the region.
