Russia has dramatically intensified its aerial campaign against Ukraine, unleashing enormous waves of drones, missiles, and bombs while targeting the country's energy, industrial, logistical, and civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia launched nearly 2,000 strike drones, more than 1,600 guided aerial bombs, and 31 missiles during the past week alone. Around Kyiv, Russian drone attacks have continued for five consecutive days, with nearly 1,500 drones reportedly launched against Ukraine in just four days. Many are newer jet-powered drones that are faster and more difficult for Ukrainian defenses to intercept. The near-continuous attacks have disrupted transportation, forced residents repeatedly into shelters, damaged homes and businesses, and further strained Ukraine's already limited air-defense capabilities.
