Saudi Summit Touts AI & Power

Oct 30, 2025

Saudi Arabia opened its ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh this week, a global summit dubbed “Davos in the Desert,” with artificial intelligence and urban megaprojects at the forefront. The event, hosted in a former royal palace, drew 20 heads of state — including China’s Vice President Han Zheng — along with business and political heavyweights like Donald Trump Jr. and executives from JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock. Saudi officials highlighted a 24% rise in foreign investments, signaling growing global confidence in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan to modernize the kingdom and diversify its economy away from oil. AI integration, smart infrastructure, and the futuristic NEOM megacity — a $500 billion tech-driven metropolis under construction along the Red Sea — dominated the agenda as Saudi Arabia seeks to position itself as a leader in global innovation and regional power.

From a prophetic lens, Saudi Arabia’s rapid transformation, technological expansion, and growing role in global economics align with the broader biblical narrative of shifting alliances and regional power realignments in the Middle East. While the kingdom has no official ties with Israel, it played a behind-the-scenes role in advancing the 2020 Abraham Accords and remains key to future normalization efforts — efforts Hamas explicitly sought to derail with the October 7 attacks. As AI becomes central to Saudi Arabia’s economic vision, the fusion of technology, governance, and geopolitics echoes Revelation’s warnings about a coming global system built on control and commerce. The desert kingdom that once relied on oil is now building a digital empire — one that could soon intersect with prophetic movements across the region.
