Saudi Arabia has issued a clear warning to Israel that any annexation of the Judea and Samaria would be considered a red line, threatening future normalization efforts under the Abraham Accords. According to N12, the warning came just before the UN General Assembly’s vote on recognizing a Palestinian state, as well as ongoing French-Saudi coordination on the issue. Riyadh’s message was blunt: annexation steps would have “major implications on all levels,” signaling that normalization would be off the table if Israel moves forward.

Saudi political sources reportedly stressed to Israeli officials that the kingdom is prepared to enforce its stance using economic and security measures, including the closure of its airspace to Israeli flights. The report also noted that such a move by Israel could strain Washington’s relations with Arab states, further complicating U.S. diplomacy in the region.
