Keep Watch!
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

A Palestinian Authority (PA) school in southern Hebron recently staged a disturbing skit in which first-grade students portrayed Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian laborers who had entered Israel for work. The performance, conducted under the supervision of a teacher and posted on the school’s official Facebook page, included scenes of soldiers shooting the laborers, followed by medical workers dragging away their bodies. The school in question is the Dalal Mughrabi Coed Elementary School, named after the terrorist responsible for the 1978 massacre of 37 Israeli civilians. This dramatization, according to the post, was meant to express “the suffering of Palestinian laborers,” but critics say it reflects the PA’s long-standing practice of indoctrinating children with violent and hateful imagery against Israelis.
Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has repeatedly documented how the PA education system glorifies terrorists like Dalal Mughrabi, turning them into national heroes and role models, particularly for girls. PMW has also reported that at least five PA schools are named after her. Despite the hateful portrayal in the skit, PMW points out a major contradiction: the PA has acknowledged for years that many Palestinian laborers prefer to work in Israel due to higher wages and legal protections under Israeli labor laws. In fact, the PA often criticizes Israel when worker entry is restricted due to security threats. This contrast highlights the disconnect between the inflammatory messages taught in classrooms and the economic realities that benefit Palestinian families through employment in Israel.
