Six Killed in Terror Shooting in Jerusalem

Sep 9, 2025

A brutal terrorist attack struck Jerusalem’s northern Ramot neighborhood Monday morning, where two gunmen opened fire at a crowded bus stop, killing six people and injuring more than a dozen others. The victims included a man and woman in their 50s and three men in their 30s, while emergency responders rushed to save seven critically wounded and several others with moderate or light injuries. The sudden burst of gunfire caused chaos and fear, as civilians scrambled for cover in one of the city’s busiest areas.

Israeli security forces acted immediately, with an IDF squad commander from the Hasmonean Brigade and an armed civilian neutralizing both terrorists, who were armed with improvised Carlo submachine guns. Their swift intervention prevented even greater bloodshed. In the aftermath, Hamas celebrated the attack, labeling it a “natural response to the occupation’s crimes,” and called for further escalation in Judea and Samaria. Such rhetoric underscores the ongoing volatility of the region, as terror groups continue to glorify violence and incite unrest against Israel.
