Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

A Somali Muslim’s recent declaration that his “biggest regret in life” is that President Donald Trump will not live to witness Islam’s “full takeover of America” has ignited alarm among observers who study extremist ideology. While many dismiss such statements as absurd internet bravado, history repeatedly shows that supremacist movements rarely view their ambitions as symbolic. The rhetoric reflects a broader ideological current within radical Islam that frames domination not as a political preference, but as a religious mandate rooted in conquest, submission, and expansion.
Islamic texts repeatedly call for struggle until religion is “all for Allah,” including commands to fight unbelievers until they submit and pay jizya in humiliation (Qur’an 8:39; 9:29). These passages are not fringe claims but central to jihadist doctrine worldwide. While most Muslims in America do not embrace violent extremism, the ideology itself remains unchanged. As radicals grow bolder in public speech, the West continues to underestimate the spiritual nature of the conflict—one that is not merely cultural, political, or demographic, but deeply theological and prophetic in scope.
