Technocratic Elite Join Presidential Council

Mar 26, 2026

President Donald Trump has announced the formation of a new President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), bringing together some of the most influential figures in the tech world. The council includes leaders from major companies and platforms shaping artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and global data systems. Tasked with advising on innovation and technological advancement, this group represents the forefront of emerging technologies that are rapidly transforming how societies function, communicate, and conduct business.

While the stated goal is to strengthen American leadership in science and technology, the composition of this council highlights a broader reality: a small group of powerful tech elites increasingly shaping the future of global systems. These are the same industries driving advancements in AI, digital identity, financial technology, and data integration—systems that are steadily moving toward greater centralization and control. As governments and private entities collaborate more closely, the line between innovation and infrastructure becomes blurred, raising questions about how these technologies may ultimately be used.

The Council will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios.

The following individuals have been appointed:

Marc Andreessen

Sergey Brin

Safra Catz

Michael Dell

Jacob DeWitte

Fred Ehrsam

Larry Ellison

David Friedberg

Jensen Huang

John Martinis

Bob Mumgaard

Lisa Su

Mark Zuckerberg
