Terror Rampage in France Injures 10

Nov 5, 2025

France was rocked by another apparent act of terror Wednesday morning when a man deliberately rammed his car into pedestrians and cyclists on the Île d’Oléron, injuring at least ten people—several critically. According to French authorities, the suspect, a local man in his 30s known to police, drove at high speed between the villages of Dolus d’Oléron and Saint-Pierre-d’Oléron, striking multiple victims, including a young girl. After abandoning the vehicle, he reportedly tried to set it on fire before fleeing on foot. Police subdued him with a stun gun and discovered gas canisters inside his car. Prosecutor Arnaud Laraize confirmed the man shouted “Allahu Akbar”—Arabic for “God is greatest”—as he was taken into custody. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez called the attack “heinous” and said a full investigation is underway.

The attack comes amid growing concerns about Islamist extremism in Europe, with France repeatedly targeted in recent years by individuals claiming jihadist motivations. For prophecy watchers, such acts of violence continue to underscore the spiritual and moral unraveling prophesied for the last days—a world increasingly marked by lawlessness and terror (Matthew 24:12). The cry of “Allahu Akbar”—echoed in so many attacks—reveals a deeper conflict not merely of politics, but of spirits. Yet even as fear grips nations, believers are reminded that our hope is not in governments or security forces, but in the Prince of Peace who will one day “break the bow and shatter the spear” (Psalm 46:9).
