Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

In today’s world, space is no longer just about exploration—it’s a battlefield. Hackers supporting Russia recently hijacked a Ukrainian satellite, replacing programming with Victory Day parade footage from Moscow, a clear attempt at intimidation. Experts warn that satellites, critical for GPS, military operations, intelligence gathering, and communications, are now prime targets. A single disruption can cripple systems without firing a shot. With more than 12,000 satellites orbiting Earth, outdated software or weak security links leave them vulnerable to hostile actors, as seen in the 2022 Viasat hack that disrupted wide areas of Europe.
Beyond cyberattacks, the threat of space weapons looms large. U.S. officials revealed Russia is developing a nuclear, space-based weapon that could wipe out satellites in low-Earth orbit, a move compared to a “Cuban Missile Crisis in space.” Meanwhile, competition to dominate space resources is heating up. The moon’s helium-3 reserves, seen as key for future nuclear fusion energy, could spark conflicts as nations rush to stake claims. NASA has already announced plans to deploy a nuclear reactor to the moon, underscoring how control of space—and its resources—may define the next era of global power.
The militarization of space should not surprise us. Satellites are now the nervous system of modern civilization, connecting economies, militaries, and daily life. To see world powers racing to weaponize space and claim the moon’s resources is to watch the scaffolding of the coming Beast system being built before our eyes. Just as Revelation 13 describes a world under total surveillance and control, the merging of advanced technology with military ambition sets the stage for a time when no one can buy, sell, or even navigate the earth apart from the authority of the Antichrist. What was once science fiction is rapidly becoming reality.
