Trump: Iran has 10-15 days

Feb 20, 2026

President Donald Trump said Thursday that Iran has no more than “10, 15 days, pretty much maximum” to reach a deal with the United States before consequences follow. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump signaled that negotiations over Tehran’s advancing nuclear program are approaching a decisive moment. U.S. officials remain focused on curbing Iran’s enrichment activities, while broader concerns include Iran’s ballistic missile program, its support for proxy forces across the Middle East, and its internal crackdowns on dissent. “We’re going to make a deal, or we’re going to get a deal one way or the other,” Trump stated, underscoring the narrowing diplomatic window.

While the administration has not detailed whether it seeks the full dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, the message was unmistakable: time is short. Trump warned that if diplomacy fails, the outcome would be “unfortunate” for Tehran. The comments come amid ongoing indirect negotiations and heightened regional tensions, as both Washington and Jerusalem watch Iran’s nuclear trajectory closely. With enrichment levels reportedly inching closer to weapons-grade capability, the geopolitical clock is ticking.
