Trump Warns Hamas of ‘Fast, Furious, Brutal’ End

Oct 22, 2025

President Trump warned Tuesday that Hamas could be “taken care of very quickly” if it continues to violate the ceasefire, while saying he preferred to give the group an opportunity to honor the bargain. Speaking from the Oval Office, he accused Hamas of breaking the deal by continuing to kill people and said U.S.-backed partners in the region have offered to intervene with force at his request — though he added he was holding them back for now in hopes the group will comply. Trump also hailed a new era of regional cooperation, saying former foes are now friendly and there remains “hope that Hamas will do what is right.”

Vice President J.D. Vance, visiting Israel, echoed the administration’s hard line, stressing the terms of the 20-point plan: Hamas must disarm and cease hostile actions. Vance said fighters might receive limited clemency but must not continue killing, and warned that failure to comply would prompt decisive action. On social media, Trump amplified the message, saying that if Hamas persists in violations the response would be “FAST, FURIOUS, & BRUTAL,” a sentiment U.S. officials reiterated as a last-resort deterrent should ceasefire breaches continue.
