Among the options reportedly under discussion is the possible resumption of “Project Freedom,” a military effort designed to break the growing shipping bottleneck in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. Another option being weighed is a renewed bombing campaign targeting Iranian infrastructure if negotiations and diplomatic efforts continue to stall.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most critical choke points in the global economy, serving as a gateway for a massive percentage of the world’s oil supply. Any escalation involving Iran, the United States, or Israel could send shockwaves through global energy markets and destabilize the Middle East even further. Israeli officials reportedly remain on high alert amid concerns that military operations could resume quickly following Trump’s return from China, with reports indicating any potential American operation would likely occur in coordination with the Israeli military.
