Trump’s Ukraine Move Sparks Nuke Threats

Jul 16, 2025

In a sharp escalation of global tensions, Russia has warned that President Donald Trump’s latest move to arm Ukraine could push the world toward nuclear conflict. Moscow’s warning came after Trump approved a new $10 billion arms package—including long-range offensive missiles—set to be funded by U.S. allies in Europe and Canada. State TV war analyst Aleksandr Sladkov reacted defiantly, claiming, “Trump is trying to scare us with missiles… Trump should be scared.” He even suggested that cities like Kyiv and Lviv could be turned into “Hiroshima and Nagasaki” if provoked further. With Fox News fans expressing dismay over Trump’s aggressive posture and sanctions threat, Russia accused both Trump and Ukrainian leaders of actively escalating the war.

Sladkov and other Kremlin voices warned of devastating retaliation, specifically referencing Russia’s Yars missiles—each with multiple nuclear warheads many times more powerful than the bombs dropped in World War II. Meanwhile, reports suggest Trump urged Ukraine’s President Zelensky to pressure Putin by striking Moscow, to which Zelensky replied, “We can if you give us the weapons.” As American-supplied ATACMS missiles are cleared for deeper strikes inside Russian territory, the Kremlin is framing this as a NATO-provoked existential war. State propagandist Vladimir Solovyov declared, “We are not fighting Ukraine—we are fighting NATO,” signaling that the conflict may be nearing a far more dangerous phase.
