The U.S.-based watchdog group StopAntisemitism has named Tucker Carlson its “Antisemite of the Year,” citing what it calls a pattern of divisive, hateful, and dangerous rhetoric. According to the organization, Carlson has used his influential media platforms to normalize antisemitic narratives, promote conspiracy theories, and accuse American Jews of dual loyalty. The group also highlighted Carlson’s repeated attacks on Zionist Christians, whom he has derided as having a “virus in the brain,” framing support for Israel as a betrayal of Christianity.

StopAntisemitism director Liora Rez warned that Carlson’s reach makes his rhetoric especially dangerous, noting that he has interviewed figures who downplay or revise the crimes of Adolf Hitler and redirect blame for World War II toward others. Such narratives, Rez said, help create an environment in which antisemitism becomes socially acceptable, fueling harassment, threats, and violence against Jewish communities. As antisemitic incidents continue to rise across the political spectrum, the designation underscores growing concern that influential voices are helping resurrect ancient hatreds under the guise of political or cultural commentary.
