Turkey Urges Muslim Unity Against Israel Plan

Aug 11, 2025

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called on Muslim nations to unite and rally global opposition against Israel’s reported plan to take control of Gaza City, following meetings in Egypt with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. Both Egypt and Turkey condemned the plan, labeling it a dangerous escalation and, in Ankara’s words, part of Israel’s “genocidal and expansionist policies.” Fidan claimed Israel’s goal was to drive Palestinians from their land through starvation and permanent occupation, urging the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene an emergency meeting. The OIC’s Ministerial Committee echoed these accusations, calling the plan “a flagrant violation of international law” and warning it would destroy any chance for peace. Israel has denied these charges, maintaining that its actions target Hamas—a group responsible for killing 1,200 people in the October 2023 attack—and asserting the war could end if Hamas surrendered.

The growing alignment of Muslim nations against Israel reflects Zechariah 12’s warning that in the last days “all nations” will gather against Jerusalem. The coordination between countries like Turkey and Egypt under the banner of the OIC shows how religious and political alliances are shaping up to oppose Israel on a global stage. As pressure mounts in international forums, these events are conditioning the world for the prophetic scenario where Israel stands isolated, surrounded by hostile powers, and the stage is set for the fulfillment of end-times prophecy concerning the nations’ confrontation with God’s chosen people.
