In effect, these chips wouldn’t just process data—they could “tattle” on their location. This initiative, Kratsios said, is “explicitly included” in the national AI strategy.

He pitched U.S. technology as the foundation for future innovation, telling regional leaders that the most significant advances “will be made with and on American technology,” and that to fully benefit, they would need America’s AI systems already in place.
