First, the system which is Catholicism is not Christianity. This does not mean that there are not Born-Again Believers that are Catholic, but the institution itself is not. We can see this through MANY of the actions that are contrary to biblical truth taken the Vatican over the years. This is one prime example. Back in January, I wrote an article, Breaking Faith: The Scriptural Warning Against Ecumenism, where I discuss the modern interfaith movement and how this is opposed to Scripture. Here is an excerpt:
"The ecumenical movement’s assertion that there are many paths to God stands in stark contrast to Scripture. The Apostle Peter reiterated this truth, proclaiming that “there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
By promoting the idea of universal salvation through various religious traditions, the ecumenical movement undermines the exclusivity of Christ’s atonement. This shift represents a departure from the gospel message and a move toward spiritual compromise. While unity may appear noble, it comes at the cost of doctrinal purity and fidelity to God’s Word."
