An Israeli tech company called Stardust Solutions is drawing global attention after revealing plans to combat "climate change" by releasing millions of tons of tiny reflective particles into Earth’s atmosphere. According to reports, the company hopes to disperse specially designed particles at high altitudes where they would reflect small amounts of sunlight away from the planet in an effort to cool global temperatures. The particles, made from materials such as amorphous silica and calcium carbonate, are being developed as part of a growing field known as solar geoengineering. Company executives claim the technology could potentially reduce global temperatures by as much as 1.5 degrees Celsius if deployed on a massive scale.

The company, which reportedly includes former figures connected to Israel’s nuclear program, has raised tens of millions of dollars and says the project could eventually require around 10 million tons of atmospheric particles distributed over several years. Supporters argue the technology could provide a temporary emergency measure against rising temperatures, while critics warn the unintended consequences could be catastrophic. More than 600 scientists and academics have already called for an international ban on large-scale geoengineering experiments, warning that artificially altering Earth’s atmosphere could disrupt weather systems, agriculture, rainfall patterns, and ecosystems across the globe.
